UBIQUITI-U6 LR is a good quality Long Range Wifi Extender,

Your Wi-Fi modem at home connects your to the internet. Most modems have a built in Router which will allow to connect devices wirelessly,  like your phone, laptop, and tablet to the internet without the use of a Data cable. Unfortunately these routers are very basic and have limited capacity. The Ubiquiti allows you to increase the number of devices from about 12 to 300, as well as enabling stronger signal and quicker speeds. This is necessary if you are going to use many wireless devices or set up a smart home.

To connect a Ubiquiti device follow these steps:

1. Unbox the Device: Remove the device from its packaging and ensure you have all the necessary components, including power adapters and cables. Ubiquiti uses P.O.E (power over ethernet) so you will require the correct P.O.E power supply.
2. Connect to Power and Data cable from the original Modem/Router to the POE adapter, then run the Data cable to the Ubiquiti which ideally should be placed centrally in the home under the ceiling (data cable is usually run in the ceiling space.
3. Before installing take a good picture of the bar code on the back of the Ubiquiti, as you will need this later to install on the App.
4. Load the UBIQUITI App and select add device. Scan the Bar code when required.
5. Once Added you can select configuration to set up wifi name and password for 2.4GHz and 5GHz radio frequency.
6. If you have many devices connected to the existing Router, you can use the same name and password on the UBIQUITI.
7. Once this is done, switch the wifi on the Original Modem/Router off.
